Opening a submission window before the storage, verification, editorial, and communication systems are ready would shift risk onto writers, and that is not how the press intends to begin. The published guidelines describe the shape of a future window so authors can decide whether the list may be a fit.
The central requirement will be a complete, thoroughly revised fantasy novel. The press is interested in adult epic, secondary-world, mythic, dark, and adventurous high-concept fantasy. Category labels matter less than command: a story should know what experience it is offering and deliver that experience with discipline.
Worldbuilding should generate consequence. A setting becomes memorable not through the number of invented nouns but through the way its beliefs, environments, institutions, and histories change what characters can do. The press will look for manuscripts in which the fantastic is inseparable from the conflict rather than applied as decoration.
Author experience matters as much as manuscript potential. Writers should receive clear expectations, transparent status language, respect for their ownership, and a professional route for questions or withdrawal. Acquired authors will not pay reading, editing, design, or publication fees. Rights will be requested only through a separate negotiated agreement, with the scope tied to what the press can responsibly develop.
