Writers should receive clear expectations, transparent status language, respect for their ownership, and a professional route for questions or withdrawal. Acquired authors will not pay reading, editing, design, or publication fees. Rights will be requested only through a separate negotiated agreement, with the scope tied to what the press can responsibly develop.
